Because of the staircase, the apartment will not suit the infirm or children (children under 10 months accepted -  ONLY with prior agreement).

Note: we have a strong mobile phone signal from the apartment. We would recommend that to save your strength that you bring a couple of smaller bags rather than one very large case as there are two flights of steps to climb! We also recommend that you bring a torch as it is a fairly dark sky area at night, and there is a gate to unlock at the end of the drive.

How to get here:

Because of its secluded position a car is really essential.

Direct link from the A38 “Express Way” – 2 miles.

Or use the train or fly and hire a car:
Exeter Airport – 13 miles.

Main railway line and hire a car – St David’s Station, Exeter – 10 miles.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful castle. Everything about it is lovely; decor up in the apartment very well thought out.”
S & L D. Ipswich.

“Had a lovely time – special 60th birthday picnic up with family on the roof with little granddaughter looking for Rapunzel! Spotted and took pictures of a family of deer about 8.00pm. Hope to come back again soon.”
E G. Torquay.

We got engaged on the roof and then spent the next evening waiting for the Red Arrows. At 7.00pm they flew over in formation with smoke – what an amazing sight! We will definitely be back soon.
